Samsung Galaxy 551 Quadrant BenchMark

Update:  After upgrading to 2.3.6 i wanted to make a benchmark…here it is

Yesterday i told you about new firmware. I updated to the new one by Odin….and now I was able to use the Quadrant to do a benchmark to this phone (until now I got forced close all the time).

I don’t really know what do you expected from this device,because its a mid-range phone.

I used to benchmark my phone with Quadrant Standard and Advanced.

Standard: I did 10 tests one after the other one, and here are the results

New firmware for Samsung Galaxy 551

Thanks to “skilledchaos” I was informed that a new firmware is available for our Samsung Galaxy 551.

After I got the information I open Kies to check it…

….as you see…NOTHING.

I open samfirmware.com and there I found 2 firmware’s, who apparently are the same. They are not!

I5510XWKD4 is the firmware ….BUT….in CSC column you will see the difference. One of them is CSC – I5510OXXKD3 and the other one is CSC – I5510BSEJK1.

They are not random numbers, but I don’t really know what CSC stands for. After I research a little I found that  CSC – I5510OXXKD3 (Apr. 2011) is newer than CSC – I5510BSEJK1 (Nov. 2010).

If you compare this 2 firmware’s you can notice that bootloader and amss_phone is the same with the firmware in JANUARY.

Most probably this firmware just fixed some bugs found in the previous one.
